Prescott Shooting School offers shooting tuition for both individuals and groups North of Cheltenham, nr Winchcombe in Gloucestershire.
Shooting tuition is with Daniel Martin the owner of Prescott Shooting. Daniel has a vast experience of clay shooting and has competed at International level around the world in the Olympic discipline of double trap. He is also a passionate game shot and is highly respected in the game field. Daniel now competes regularly in sporting and FITASC competitions across the UK including regional and world championships.
Daniel is also a member of the APSI (association of professional shooting instructors) and a fully qualified instructor and CPSA safety officer. Daniel offers a number of shooting tuition packages to suit both novice and experienced shots. Shooting lessons are individually tailored to each clients requirements whether its hitting those high driven pheasants or shooting your first clay.
Both game and clay shooting tuition is offered throughout the year and is available through the week by prior appointment with Daniel at the Shooting School. Gun hire is provided (if needed) and all safety equipment.
Cartridges are also supplied with our special shooting school load which is very soft on the shoulder to suit both ladies and young shots. A full range of Lyalvale Express cartridges are also available to purchase for both clay and game shooting requirements in most calibers.
Prescott Shooting School also stocks a full range of shooting accessories and clothing for both game and clay shooting requirements in our log cabin club house and is also available from our online shop.
The grounds are situated in a mature woodland valley in the stunning Cotswold Escarpment which offers realistic driven clays for game shots and an ever changing variety of targets simulating various sporting species including bolting rabbits, long crossing pigeons and teal to name a few! Targets are set by Daniel who makes sure they are suited to both beginners and experienced shots.
Prescott Shooting School also offers practice for individuals and groups on our open practice days or by appointment through the week. Fully automated traps offering 25 different targets throughout the ground including a 25 bird sportrap layout, driven flush and 140ft high tower.
Gun club members enjoy discounts on all tuition, practice, clothing, cartridges & accessories plus entries into club competitions and summer BBQ fun days.
The shooting school is located just 15 minutes north of Cheltenham near many Cotswold villages and towns including Stow-On-The-Wold, Guiting Power, Broadway, & Bourton-On-The-Water.
Motorway access is just 20 minutes from J9 of the M5 giving easy access from all over the UK.
Have A Go Days
“Have A Go Days” are available on set dates throughout the year on Saturdays and are a great way to come any try the sport of clay pigeon shooting. No experience is necessary and anyone can take part from ages 10 and above. For only £25 per person you will receive expert tuition for an hour as part of a group of up to 6; shooting 25 clays with gun hire, cartridges, clays and all safety equipment provided. All under the professional guidance of our shooting instructors.

Full Day Masters Course 10am- 4pm
The day course includes a full day of instruction for experienced shots with their own licenses. Days are tailored to game shots or syndicates looking for a pre season brush up or clay shooters looking to improve their overall scores. The format includes refreshments on arrival a full safety and gun
handling brief, morning of instruction, lunch at the local country pub followed by a full afternoon of shooting instruction. Days are available throughout the week by appointment. Courses are run for groups of 5-8. Refreshments, 100 cartridges, 100 clays, gun hire (if needed), all safety equipment, Insurance and lunch at the local country pub is all included.

The half day course includes a full morning of intense shooting instruction to suit experienced shots with their own licenses. The course is suited to both game shots who are looking for a preseason brush up on their technique or clay shots who want to overcome a plateau or improve their technique. The courses can be held on a date of your choice subject to availability throughout the year.
Courses are run for groups of 5-8. Refreshments, 50 cartridges, 50 clays, gun hire (if needed), all safety equipment and Insurance is all included.

(Driven Game Shooting)
If you are looking for ‘in field’ tuition Daniel provides an unbeatable service. Daniel has years of experience coaching in the field environment which is offered by very few coaches due to the demanding nature and skills needed to be able to give advice on various quarry with only two shots available to connect with each bird! It is very unlike clay shooting where you can repeat the same bird in quick succession! Daniel can provide first class coaching on Grouse, Partridge & Pheasant days all over the UK. Novice and experienced shots are catered for and are pre discussed with daniel prior to the days shooting. All equipment can be provided if needed including gun hire, cartridges, clothing, accessories & 4x4 Transport. If your looking to take your game shooting to the next level give Daniel a call.

Course Of 6 Lessons
Great for beginners to the sport or looking to take your shooting ability to another level whether you are interested in game or clay shooting or both! Daniel will take you through all the basic areas of shooting techniques, safety and etiquette over the 6 lessons. By the end of the course you will be more than competent with the safe handling of a shotgun and have a good starting structure for a solid shooting technique. The course of lessons can also be ideally suited to the more experienced shot whether you have reached a plateau, struggling to increase consistency or struggling with specific types of quarry or targets; each lesson is tailored to each individual client with set goals in mind for both game and clay shooting requirements.

Have A Go Days 2013
Held once a month Prescott Shooting gives the chance for everyone to come any try the sport of clay shooting archery & air rifles. For just £25 (Clay Shooting) £20 (Archery) and £20 (Air Rifles).
You will join a group of up to 6 for an hours tuition with a professional instructor who will teach you all the basics of your chosen sport. No need for any licence or experience all equipment is provided on the day.

T&C's All shotgun certificate holders are welcome to use the practice facilities offered, regretfully our police 11/6 exception does not allow non certificate holders to shoot unless supervised by our own instructors.
Individual lessons are available for non certificate holders. Details on request.
All persons shooting must be familiar with CPSA safety rules.
Any private one-to-one tuition is not permitted without prior arrangement with Prescott Shooting School.
All guns and cartridges must be kept under supervision and are the responsibility of the owner at all times. Prescott Shooting School will not take responsibility for any loss or damage.
Hearing protection and safety glasses must be worn at all times. Caps are recommended.
Individuals prohibited from having/using a firearm cannot use these facilities.
All persons using these facilities do so at their own risk.
