Prescott Shooting School offers shooting tuition for both individuals and groups at either Prescott Shooting School near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire or at the Oxford Gun Co Shooting School.
Shooting tuition is with Daniel Martin the owner of Prescott Shooting.
Daniel has a vast experience of clay shooting and has competed at International level around the world. He is also a passionate game shot and is highly respected in the game field. Daniel is also a member of the APSI (association of professional shooting instructors) and a fully qualified instructor and safety officer.
Daniel offers a number of shooting tuition packages to suit both novice and experienced shots. Shooting lessons are individually tailored to each clients requirements whether its hitting those high driven pheasants or shooting your first clay.
Both game and clay shooting lessons are offered throughout the year and are available on Tuesdays & Thursdays at The Oxford Gun Co and set dates on Saturdays at Prescott Shooting School.(See List Below) Times available range from 10am to 5pm depending on season.
A full gun fitting service is included in every lesson along with gun hire (if needed) and all safety equipment. Cartridges are also supplied with our special shooting school load which is very soft on the shoulder to suit both ladies and young shots. A full range of Express cartridges are also available to purchase for both clay and game shooting requirements in most calibers. (See our shop page).
All the shooting stands are undercover at Oxford so shooting tuition can be enjoyed all year round by both the client and instructor whatever the weather!

Hourly Individual Tuition
Hourly lessons are ideal for newcomers to the sport, to iron out any bad habits, moving on from a plateau or just improve your overall shooting technique. All lessons include gun hire if needed, all safety equipment and Insurance.
Tuition is charged at £69 per hour + Cartridges & Clays + VAT
Prescott Shooting School is located in the Cotswolds close to Cheltenham and is situated in a woodland valley which offers some fantastic driven clays for game shots and a huge variety of other targets simulating most other sporting species including bolting rabbits and long crossing pigeons.
Prescott Shooting School also offers practice sessions for groups and individuals on our set dates by appointment, please contact us for details.
“Have A Go Days” are also available on set dates throughout the year on Saturdays and are a great way to come any try the sport of clay pigeon shooting. No experience is necessary and anyone can take part from ages 10 and above. For only £20 per person you will receive expert tuition for half an hour; shooting 25 clays with gun hire, cartridges, clays and all safety equipment provided. All under the professional guidance of our shooting instructors.

Hourly lessons can be shard between friends, husband & wife or fathers & sons. These sessions can also be suited to both novice and or experienced shots. The lesson can also be used to share with a friend or family member who wants to get into shooting. All lessons include gun hire if needed, all safety equipment and Insurance.

Day Courses
The day course compiles of a complete days instruction for both novice or experienced shots. Days are tailored to both game and clay shooters and include a full safety and gun handling brief followed by a full day of intense shooting instruction. Both group and individual bookings are available on set dates throughout the year. All weather stands for whatever the weather, refreshments, cartridges, clays, gun hire (if needed), all safety equipment, Insurance and lunch at the local country pub is all included.

Buying Advise
Hourly tuition can be provided alongside buying either your first gun or buying a new gun. A full gun fitting and try before you buy service is available on all second hand guns.

Daniel offers a ʻIn field tuitionʼ service throughout the game shooting season whether its on a grouse moor or country estate. Daniel has a vast experience to be able to offer first class instruction in the field to both complete novice or highly experienced game shots.
Daniel is able to cover most of the UK and can also provide 4x4 transport, gun hire, cartridges and full gun cleaning service.

Daniel offers an ʻin field tuitionʼ service throughout the spring summer months on Prescott Shootings famous simulated game days. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a traditional driven game day and learn the british shooting etiquette whilst in shirt sleeves!
Tuition is tailored to each client from novice shots to the experienced game or clay shot. This is ideal for anyone who is bored of shooting on a clay ground and wants to experience something totally different. It also appeals to anyone who wants to get into driven game shooting and wants to learn about field safety, game shooting techniques and etiquette.
Tuition includes clays, gun hire (if needed), Breakfast, Elevenses, Lunch, Afternoon Tea & 4x4 Transport.
