Prescott Shooting School offers shooting tuition for both individuals and groups at our Shooting School just outside Winchcombe near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.
Shooting tuition is with Daniel Martin the owner of Prescott Shooting.
Daniel has a vast experience of clay shooting and has competed at International level around the world. He is also a passionate game shot and is highly respected in the game field. Daniel is also a member of the APSI (association of professional shooting instructors) and a fully qualified instructor and CPSA safety officer.
Daniel offers a number of shooting tuition packages to suit both novice and experienced shots. Shooting lessons are individually tailored to each clients requirements whether it’s hitting those high driven pheasants or shooting your first clay.
Both game and clay shooting lessons are offered throughout the year and are available on set weekdays and Saturdays at Prescott Shooting School.
Times available range from 10am to 5pm depending on season.
A full gun fitting service is included in every lesson along with gun hire (if needed) and all safety equipment. Cartridges are also supplied with our special shooting school load which is very soft on the shoulder to suit both ladies and young shots.
A full range of Lyalvale Express cartridges are also available to purchase for both clay and game shooting requirements in most calibers.
Prescott Shooting School also stocks a range of shooting accessories and clothing for both game and clay shooters in our log cabin club house.
A range of light refreshments and snacks are available in our club house for all our clients. BBQ’s can also be arranged for groups by prior arrangement with Daniel.
Prescott Shooting School is located in the Cotswolds 15 minutes north of Cheltenham and 15 minutes from Evesham in Worcestershire. The grounds are situated in a mature woodland valley which offers some fantastic driven clays for game shots and a huge variety of other challenging targets simulating many sporting species including bolting rabbits and long crossing pigeons.

“Have A Go Days” are also available on set dates throughout the year on Saturdays and are a great way to come any try the sport of clay pigeon shooting. No experience is necessary and anyone can take part from ages 10 and above. For only £25 per person you will receive expert tuition for half an hour; shooting 25 clays with gun hire, cartridges, clays and all safety equipment provided. All under the professional guidance of our shooting instructors.

Hourly lessons can be shared between friends, husband & wife or fathers & sons. These sessions can also be suited to both novice and or experienced shots. Day Courses
The day course includes a full day of instruction for both novice or experienced shots. Days are tailored to both game and clay shooters and include a full safety and gun handling brief followed by a full day of intense shooting instruction.
Both group and individual bookings are available on set dates throughout the year. Refreshments, cartridges, clays, gun hire (if needed), all safety equipment, Insurance and lunch at the local country pub is all included.

The half day course compiles of a full morning of intense shooting instruction to suit both novice or experienced shots. It is suited to both game shots who are looking for a pre-season brush up on there technique or clay shots who want to overcome a plateau or improve their technique.
The courses are held on Mondays throughout the year and are run in groups of up to 5. Refreshments, cartridges, clays, gun hire (if needed), all safety equipment and Insurance is all included.

Daniel offers a ʻIn field tuitionʼ service throughout the game shooting season whether its on a grouse moor or country estate. Daniel has a vast experience to be able to offer first class instruction in the field to both complete novice or highly experienced game shots.
Daniel is able to cover most of the UK and can also provide 4x4 transport, gun hire, cartridges and full gun cleaning service.

Course Of 6 Lessons
Great for newcomers to the sport whether you are interested in game or clay shot, or both! Daniel will take you through all the basic areas of shooting techniques, safety and etiquette over the 6 lessons. By the end of the course you will be more than competent with the safe handling of a shotgun and have a good starting structure for a solid shooting technique.
The course of lessons can also be ideally suited to the more experienced shot whether you have reached a plateau and struggling to increase consistency or struggling with specific types of quarry or targets; the lessons can be tailored to each individual client with set goals in mind structuring each lesson to overcome problems and then reinforce what has been achieved.

Daniel offers an ʻin field tuitionʼ service throughout the spring summer months on Prescott Shootings famous simulated game days. This is a fantastic opportunity to experience a traditional driven game day and learn the british shooting etiquette whilst in shirt sleeves!
Tuition is tailored to each client from novice shots to the experienced game or clay shot. This is ideal for anyone who is bored of shooting on a clay ground and wants to experience something totally different. It also appeals to anyone who wants to get into driven game shooting and wants to learn about field safety, game shooting techniques and etiquette.

Have A Go Days 2012
Held once a month Prescott Shooting gives the chance for everyone to come any try the sport of clay shooting archery & air rifles. For just £25 (Clay Shooting) £20 (Archery) and £20 (Air Rifles).
You will join a group of up to 6 for an hours tuition with a professional instructor who will teach you all the basics of your chosen sport. No need for any licence or experience all equipment is provided on the day.

T&C's All shotgun certificate holders are welcome to use the practice facilities offered, regretfully our police 11/6 exception does not allow non certificate holders to shoot unless supervised by our own instructors.
Individual lessons are available for non certificate holders. Details on request.
All persons shooting must be familiar with CPSA safety rules.
Any private one-to-one tuition is not permitted without prior arrangement with Prescott Shooting School.
All guns and cartridges must be kept under supervision and are the responsibility of the owner at all times. Prescott Shooting School will not take responsibility for any loss or damage.
Hearing protection and safety glasses must be worn at all times. Caps are recommended.
Individuals prohibited from having/using a firearm cannot use these facilities.
All persons using these facilities do so at their own risk.
